This Round Goes to the 90s!
The alumni challenge on Facebook came to a close yesterday. In this two week contest $2391 were raised for the production costs of our documentary about the Madison Scouts. All these funds came from former marching members of the Scouts. Each of these contributions were compiled into which decade the donor marched in. These contributions made it possible for us to get to Wisconsin for “Drums on Parade” the first show of the 2012 season, and are giving us a good start to get the amount we need for our “show shooting” week at the beginning of July.
We’ve got a really talented crew lined up to come along with us on the first week of July to shoot the Cederburg and Whitewater shows. We are going to capture these shows with multiple cameras and our 5.1 microphone setup like we did for the Summerville, SC show during the 2011 season. This trip also gives us the opportunity to shoot some special moments centered around the 4th of July including a parade and a stand still concert, and what the members like to call “Piggly Wiggly” day. Please help us reach our goal to make this trip happen by visiting our production checklist.
Here are the final results from the two week Alumni Challenge:
50s $238
60s $326
70s $526
80s $163
90s $1138
Total $2391
We are tremendously grateful for all of the support from our alumni, and feel very touched that a large part of those funds came from members that Tom and I marched with.
Thank you!
Mac (and Tom)
