Alumni Challenge
Yesterday a Scouts alum from the 70′s started a campaign to raise money for our film. He posted this campaign on the Madison Scouts Alumni group page on Facebook, and has not only asked our Scout brothers to lend a hand, but he’s issued a challenge to see which decade of alums will contribute the most. Since this organization has been operating continuously for 74 years there are a large number of former marching members out there. The alumni is strong and we’ve already seen money come in from the 50′s, the 60′s, and the 70′s. This campaign has been declared as a two week push to get us the needed funds to get our crew to the first performance of the 2012 Madison Scouts. “Drums on Parade”, is their home show in Madison, Wisconsin on June 22nd.
In less than 24 hours, nearly $300 has come in through this challenge. We are truly touched by the support from the Scouts alumni. This film is a tribute to this amazing organization that gave so much to us when we marched in the mid 90′s, and we want this to be an important piece that alumni and fans can be proud of.
This alumni challenge ends at Noon (pacific time) on Wednesday, June 20th. The 70′s and the 80′s alumni are very strong, but since we both came from the 90′s we’d love to see the 90′s alumni step up and win this competition.
If you didn’t march in the Madison Scouts you can still make a contribution to the making of this film by visiting the CONTRIBUTE page on the Scouts Honor website. We have specific reward levels that will get you items like stickers, DVDs, Blu-Rays, and even your name in the credits of our film. Don’t forget to tell others about our documentary film, and our website.
Thanks so much!
Mac and Tom
